Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Based on the unofficial results posted by Gallatin County, it appears that I will be the Republican nominee for Montana House District 63. Thank you for the confidence you placed in me by allowing me the opportunity to appear on the general election ballot on November 4th. I feel a genuine sense of responsibility to continue earning voters' trust, and pledge to run a positive, issue-oriented campaign based on what matters most to you and your family.
My goal in filing to run was not just to be a Republican candidate. I want to be a person seen by everyone in this district as a candidate who understands the urgent needs of our community, and will act swiftly to address them in the next Legislature. There are serious issues to confront in Helena. I’ve stated already, and will state again, that it starts with too much government spending and waste. If you talk about tax reform without talking about cutting spending, then you are just trying to have someone else pay more taxes. I want to reduce spending, so we can all pay less taxes in total.
Thank you again for your votes and support. I’d also like to congratulate Peter Strand, who will be the Democrat for this House Race in District 63. I’ve already sent a note to Peter earlier today and wished him well as we compete to earn your vote again in the Fall.
I look forward to visiting with many of you in the months ahead as I knock on doors to say hi in person. As always, please email or call me to talk about topics that are of concern to you as well.
Regards,
