Dear Friends,
This upcoming election offers Montanans a choice: do we continue down the path of lower taxes, decreased spending, and more freedom that the Republican majority is championing in Helena? Or do we opt for a big government expansion that bankrupts our state and our people?
I believe the choice is clear, and that most Montanans are in favor of the leadership Montana Republicans are providing every day. That’s why it’s so important that we ensure Republicans hold a solid majority in the Legislature.
Key to that effort is winning seats in difficult environments, like right here in Bozeman. We know that Democrats on the Redistricting Commission have gerrymandered the new maps to try to reduce the number of Republicans that Montanans send to Helena. They have turned the map of Bozeman into an unrecognizable pinwheel when it comes to State House seats. And while they have made these seats bluer, they weren’t able to eliminate the kind of quality candidates Republicans have put up to compete for these seats.
One such individual is Mark Lewis in House District 63. Mark is a commonsense business owner who cares deeply about his community. A devoted husband and father of two children, Mark has prioritized raising his family right here in Bozeman. He’s running for the legislature because he wants his children to have a better future, and that means tackling the tough issues now rather than kicking them down the road.
Mark’s priority is clear and concise: eliminate wasteful spending in order to lower taxes for
hardworking Montanans. Mark will put you and your family first in every decision he makes in Helena. If any Republican can win this gerrymandered district, it is Mark Lewis.
Mark has been a leader in the Bozeman community for years. And, unlike his opponent, he actually lives in the district he running to represent.
I hope you’ll join me in supporting Mark Lewis to be the next representative for House District 63.
Sincerely,
Steve Daines
United States Senator
